Basketball has turned into something I don’t recognize anymore. They allow so much violence.
I was small in High School but, I played defensive guard. During one game, the player across from me hit me in the throat. The first time I figured it was an accident. The second time I told my teammates. They suggested that I should tell the Ref. It happened a third time, so I told the Ref. He said he would watch, but there was nothing he could do if he didn't see it. It happened again. I told the Ref, but he said he didn't see anything. So, I told my coach. He said, "Take care of it yourself. Just don't do anything to get a foul". We won the game. As we were going into the locker room, one of my teammates asked me what happened to my forearms. I looked down and they were covered in blood from my elbow to the end of my sleeve. I laughed and told him it wasn't mine. Sometimes you have to give as hard as you get.
One of these times someone is going to b hurt really bad or killed..but damb can't let that shit slide.
