This tornado was scary because of how slow it moved. It moved at a snail's pace while it slowly annihilated anything in its path. It was like a giant blender sitting over the Double Creek Estates.

I know of bigger tornadoes, I know of stronger tornadoes, I know of deadlier tornadoes. I know of no other tornado so cruel.

Keep in mind folks, today's severe threat for southern Michigan was a MARGINAL (1/5) risk. With a 2% UNHATCHED risk for tornadoes. Meaning that the tornadoes (if there were going to be any) would likely be EF0-EF1. This is how unpredictable weather can be. Please take every threat seriously. Some people just had their lives turned upside down today.

Easily one of the strangest violent tornado cases from a meteorological perspective. A lot of preconceived notions on what should and shouldn't be able to happen go out the window when atmospheric instability gets that high. Excellent work once again man.

I think this is the first documentary I've watched on this tornado that actually went into the science of how the whole storm system formed and how the tiny twister became such a monster.

0:55 that’s my mothers house at the bottom of the frame. Pretty much the only house still “standing” in the entire area. Trucks flipped upside down in the tree line and the entire dirt road to the left of the picture covered in debris. Emergency vehicles lined up for over a mile down Tuttle Rd.

This one seemed so unusual. While the general area was under a 2% general risk for tornadoes, the particular cell that caused it was never warned til it was too late. Seems like this one surprised the weather service just as much as anyone else.

I was once in a nado in Indiana, it was green and vision was blurry, the interstate shutdown for a hot minute and I didn’t know if I was going to make it, it’s insane how unpredictable these tornadoes are when you less than a quarter mile near it( edit: yo my autocorrect made me say inadaquate so my bad yall😅)

Craziest part is that the twister went southwest instead of usually east or northeast

What's so weird about this is that a tornado did this damage next to a lake that was still mostly frozen.

The first thing that came to my mind when I watched the first clip was: "Get away from the f*cking windows!" Any of that debris could have come through and hurt/killed him. And he's calling people "chickens" for not wanting to be as dumb as him. The last clip the people were further away and the tornado was not heading in their direction. My heart broke in the last clip when houses are being torn apart. They look like lake houses, which don't have in-ground basements.

Imagine a tornado where being in a mobile home, fleeing in your vehicle, or staying at work would save your life. What a sickeningly ironic storm.

Tornadoes can sometimes be exciting or devastating. I one time had a cousin when the Moore OK tornado hit. He was hiding in his car when the tornado threw him up in the air. The car was then thrown down to the ground and made him paralyzed for life. For anybody reading this PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE and think about your life choices. Multi vortex wedge tornado, tossed vehicles, at least EF3. The NWS might reserve the EF4 rating for the Oklahoma tornado, but both major wedge tornadoes could receive EF4 ratings.

Temps in the upper 50s, 60s and low 70s in early March mean a cold front clash and this is the result. Happens every year somewhere in the Plains, South, Midwest, Great Lakes.
