Easily one of the strangest violent tornado cases from a meteorological perspective. A lot of preconceived notions on what should and shouldn't be able to happen go out the window when atmospheric instability gets that high. Excellent work once again man.

I think this is the first documentary I've watched on this tornado that actually went into the science of how the whole storm system formed and how the tiny twister became such a monster.

Excellent video once again, my dude. You gave the stories of these people their due while also doing justice to one of the most horrendous weather events ever. I've never really understood all the weird parts that came together in this storm, and you did a great job of explaining them.

Checking emergency supply rotation today… Got the helmets, emergency whistles, hiking boots, and small shovels ready in the basement in case the house lands on us and we have to dig out. We survived a tornado outbreak a few years ago and it is not fun. Always amazes me how a ‘slight risk’ of tornadic weather can turn into an emergency in such a short period of time.

I just moved back to central Iowa last fall. This is my first tornado season back in the midwest. My folks were hit by a category 4 tornado in 2022, almost exactly to the day that this storm is supposed to hit. Needless to say...anxiety is HIGH.
