Pegula is a slow starter but like a fine race horse she saves it for the final stretch.

D amazing Peg....been playing amazingly.very strong mental fortitude with great defence strategy.

Prevaleció la condición física de Pegula. No hay dudas de su fortaleza mental, perdió el primer set en el juego anterior y en este, pero vino de atrás y ganó los dos. Descansa bien preciosa. Sigues en camino por el título. Mucho amor querida.

The highlight reel looked more like a Shnaider reel. Despite losing the match, 7 of the 10 points shown were won by her. They showed the set point, match point and only 1 other point Pegula won. I guess you could make the case That's Regular game just steady gruelling keep the unforced down but if you didn't know the score you'd assume Shnaider had an easy win.

Beautiful new camera angle. I remember not being able to see the ball with the previous one.

Why is it so hard to see the ball? That kit from EA on the Italian is very unflattering.

are her legs ok? Good lord she has a lot of wraps

Geez another 3 set win go Pegula She’d better be careful hope she doesn’t get injured

Is it me or does Pegula’s movement seemed a lil less fluid than she was at Miami. Hope her knees okay. She has played a lot of matches up to this point so staying healthy is paramount.

Deeper insights into Jessica Pegula's consistency and improvement over the years, beyond just match results.

Pegula's perseverance, consistency and improvement over the years need more appreciation 😊

This year so far Pegula is the best player after Sabalenka and Rybakina and nobody can deny it. Her consistency is incredible, she is very tough to beat. I believe she has at least one slam in her, but Elena and ofc Aryna will be tough obstacles on that way.

Pegula is very efficient, resilient and deserves all the recognition but Shnaider is a joy to watch, such beautiful tennis!!

Comparison of Jessica Pegula's playing style and strengths against different types of opponents.

ModerateComparisonExtracted from 4 comments

Quite satisfying watching Pegula beating Putinseva at her own game. Both play varied high percentage tennis but Pegula just has more power and plays the key points smarter.

Putintseva nice game The high heavy to the backhand was exceptional The level change was exceptional too But you just couldn't finish after the set up. Then your net play was horrendous: dropping overhead balls, slicing to free space when reaching the net thereby opening up a large court area for your opponent especially in that second set. Great show regardless, took pegula time to get used to those high heavy backhand.

When J Peg, has fresh legs, it takes a very good top player to beat her. These low rank players do not stand a chance once she get warmed up. This girl here, took out a top seeded player who play footsie tennis most of the times.

Discussion on the specific tactics and strategies used by players like Yulia Putintseva, especially regarding her net play and drop shots.

The score on the third set went from 0-0 to 5-5. Also, Putintseva has no defense for the short drop shot that Pegula was throwing at her. It almost seems like she doesn’t know how to drop shot it back or place it at an angle. She kept opening her racquet and sending it sky high for Pegula to put it away. Putintseva also needs a net game to be honest.

Coolest american !!

Discussion on the impact of coaching and player development, specifically mentioning coaches like Bajin for Shnaider.

Diana is slowly but surely improving under Bajin's tutelage! It's good to see that he travels with her and isn't just a part-time coach.
