More than a decade ago, I recall a listing by Huffington Post of the Best College Football Fanbases in America. I was surprised to see that #1 was the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Mutiiple reasons were given for the rankings. Since then, I have seen more recent listings for the best fanbase in college football. Although Nebraska may not be listed #1, it has maintained a solid ranking among the Top 5. Congrats to the Cornhuskers!

Cornhuskers had good rivalries with old big 8 teams plus traveling would be easier on fans. Definitely would give big 12 a boost in football
