I’m from North Louisiana, and when I saw this the first thing that came to mind was an old salt mine collapse. There’s quite a few retired salt mines in that area. Interested in seeing future results from this

This is in the Haynesville Shale gas play.

Look a Gas Wells map for Red River, LA... wow. Its like parts of Texas or PA with all the fracking.

That's very close to the New Madrid fault line.

The New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ) is a 125-mile, four-segment fault system primarily located in Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Illinois. While its primary, high-risk zone is north of Louisiana, a 4.9 magnitude earthquake on March 5, 2026, highlighted that its, or related faults', activity can be felt in North Louisiana, often linked to induced seismicity

Possibly the southern end of the New Madrid system? That area should be on their guard for activity soon......

Hi from Baton Rouge area of Louisiana. I am not sure if this has any relevance but on 2 occasions on the 26th, once in the morning, I was sitting in my easy char and felt a vibrating rumble for a second or 2. Then later that night I was visiting a friend and we both felt another. For me it felt identical to what I had felt that morning. Interesting either way. Thanks for this info and please keep us informed of any thing more surfaces :)

I live in Natchitoches La. and YES, we felt it. I was told local, that it was a 4.7 but I don't have a clue about this kind of thing, was also told there were two, but I only felt one for about 20 seconds. There are a lot of injection wells around this area.

At 11:30 a.m., my home shook for about 3 seconds. I told my husband, "I think we had an earthquake. I am west of Texarkana.

Lots of fracking goes on there!

No expert here (other than Geology 101) but waste water injection was my first guess. Why the ground in OK & TX is rumbling all the time 🙄.

I’m in Michigan and it feels like the ground has been vibrating for the last two days

Right before bed last night in southern michigan , I heard the weirdest pulsating tone/ it's hard to explain.\nLike something that you would see in an alien movie

That and the one in Nebraska

ルイジアナ地震が、将来的な大規模地震(例:ニューマドリ断層帯の活動)の前兆である可能性について解説してほしい

ModerateVerificationExtracted from 6 comments

This is extremely unusual. This is not an earthquake area at all. Since it’s in the Red River Basin will it put stress on the closest big fault lines— the New Madrid or the Balcones in Texas? The Balcones is dormant and its re-activation would be devastating to many highly populated urban areas.

Watch out...New MAD-rid faultline sometime in the near future.✝️

"New Madrid"

We just had a blood Moon and an Eclipse. To top it off it's the year of THE FIRE HORSE!

Could the planetary alignment in the full moon have something to do with it ? Also are Earth's magnetic field is getting very weak now because we are going through a magnetic excursion

God can move the heavens and the earth 😮😊❤God Almighty Creator ☀️🌹🌴🐞🦋
