The Bears interior line was set - but first....

The hole at LT was going to be bad enough. Now you have to replace the other critically important place on the offensive line: center. They not only have to find someone who can play the position, but someone who can help run the offense as well. Even if you get the top candidates out there, it's going to be an uphill battle. They better hope the defense can improve enough where you can lean on them earlier in the season. As far as Drew goes, for him to call it at 27, when he's playing his best and making good money, it had to have been something serious. Either with his family or his health or both.

Completely out of nowhere. I have to say, though, I do not blame the man one bit. He got through his rookie deal, earned a huge chunk up front on this contract, and has set his family up for the rest of their lives. At 27, he can now explore the world and find out what he wants to do, while not having a worry about his financial well-being. As a fan, it sucks. As a human, this guy did it exactly how we all should. Get your nut, invest it, and enjoy life.
