The lineup where Ball is on the perimeter as a defender has a difficult plus minus; now that Jayden Ross has confidence, they look so much better when he's in the lineup, not only on defense, but on offense - he crashes the boards and drives to the hoop well.

When you say you "think it's just who they are." What does that mean? UConn is a team that can beat anyone in the nation on any given night, and can lose to pretty much anyone on any given night. The lack of consistency and the failure to steadily build the team to the point where they should be playing their best basketball of the season are what's most frustrating. Which team is going to show up? As you say, after a week off to rest and prepare, with all that's on the line, how were they not 100% prepared and locked in for this game?

Dark times indeed, but I can still see a this squad enter the NCAA's a team feeling free and happy to be playing non-con foes again, teams that don't know their offense inside and out, nor do they have a that hatred that comes with competing against the same teams every year. I can see a fluid offense, and a tough nosed and opportunistic defense. Too many upperclassmen with their legacy's on the line. They will regroup and I expect to see a different team in the postseason.

This is a ridiculous headline. THe game was lost before Hurley got the tech. Demery was mauled on his way to the basket. The refs blew the call. But once that happened the game was gone and Hurley's tech was irrelevant.

Its bad when coaches feel and behave like they are bigger than the University that employees them and can do anything without being punished. Bobby Knight all over again. Hurley is an asshole too. He looked like he head and chest bumped the ref on purpose. Try that in any other enviroment at a university and see if you have a job still!
