Isn’t the ATP playing Geo Politics not allowing Russian flags on the website or tournaments for Russian players….

Hey Andy, When Russia attacked Ukraine, they removed the Russian flag from the spot beside the players' names. Now that America has attacked Iran, do you think that the American flag should be removed as well? Why, or why not? Thank you.

🇮🇹🇮🇹 S1NNER-MAN-IA-C 🇮🇹🇮🇹1️⃣🦊🔥🥕🇮🇹🇮🇹. Let's see if someone has in mind to take off the flag from the usa players. With maduro it was just an abduction! now you start a war. Joking of course, no one will touch the untouchables. A lot of cry for Ukraine and attacks to russian players but the usa players free pass again. It's not just a conflict, usa attacked another country. Putin isn't the only criminal presidend in the world but it's alright you can keep your hearts light trump and netaniahou are peacemakers

Insights into Alex Michelsen's training, mindset, and journey to becoming a professional tennis player.

ModerateOtherExtracted from 5 comments

Alex seems like such a chill guy. Still a great interview even if the ATP got stuff wrong.

good episode lads, great to hear from another player. Thought Michelson's competitive spirit really shone through at Laver Cup last year, so it's great to hear he enjoyed the tourney despite not getting all the W's. Kind of reminds me of another hard working Alex from down under 🤔

Michelsen is awesome. I’m a fan of his after this interview.

My mom was in Dubai on Saturday and she also had to drive to Oman from Dubai, then got on a flight to London, which then took her back to Dallas so she is safe now. Praying for the best!

Sports, esp tennis, is one of my ways of getting away from the wars in the world...now this in the MIddle East, and we may not have started the whole thing but we have certainly taken it to a new level. Hoping everyone, tennis or not, stays safe...maybe back to watching cornhole? (not likely but nobody seems to get hurt or end up playing in a war zone...)

Guys, reporting from Dubai - since Sunday it is pretty much business as usual when it comes to going around, restaurants, offices, hotels etc. They’re not in the basement (at least no one else is). However flights have been suspended - a few started last night. Let’s not contribute to media panic, it’s crazy as it is without exaggerating…

Analysis of Medvedev's Grand Slam performance and comparison to other top players.

MinorComparisonExtracted from 3 comments

23 titles, number 1, slam (6 finals), ATP Finals title, Davis Cup. Masters on all surfaces.

Medvedev has made it to the semi-finals of nine slams. He beat Novak in the final of the 2021 US Open in 3 straight sets to keep Djokovic from winning the calendar slam that year. In each of the other eight times that he has made it to at least the SF... he has lost to the champion. 2019 US Open - lost to champion Rafa in the final (7-5, 6-3, 5-7, 4-6, 6-4). 2020 US Open - lost to champion Thiem in the SF (6-2, 7-6, 7-6). The tie breakers were 9-7 and 7-5. 2021 Australian - lost to champion Novak in the final (7-5, 6-2, 6-2). 2021 US Open - beat Novak in the final (6-4, 6-4, 6-4) to win his only slam so far. 2022 Australian - lost to champion Rafa in the final (2-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 7-5). 2023 Wimbledon - lost to champion Alcaraz in the SF (6-3, 6-3, 6-3). 2023 US Open - lost to champion Novak in the final (6-3, 7-6, 6-3). 2024 Australian - lost to champion Sinner in the final (3-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3). 2024 Wimbledon - lost to champion Alcaraz in the SF (7-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4). So seven of those 8 losses - have been to 4 of the best players of this century... 2 to Rafa, 2 to Novak, 2 to Carlos and 1 to Jannik.

Medvedev succeeded where Zverev failed so far

Discussion on the playing experience at Indian Wells, including court conditions, balls, and the tournament's unique atmosphere.

ModerateOtherExtracted from 2 comments

Can you talk about the Indian Wells playing experience? I mean the court, the balls, everything. It seems like a really exotic and different tournament with the desert, the court, etc.

Explanation of unique tennis techniques or player characteristics, such as ambidexterity or specific playing styles.

MinorOtherExtracted from 2 comments

So I'm ambidextrous and I coach ambidextrous tennis. This isn't just about having two single handed forehands. The single handed forehands can be used when you have time but when on defense and returning serve, the double hands on both sides is extremely effective

Davidov keeps both hands on the bottom

Further details on specific player achievements and notable matches, like Cristina Bucsa's maiden title or Griekspoor's run in Dubai.

MinorOtherExtracted from 2 comments

Cristina Bucsa deserved a shout! first win against a top 10, won her maiden title, and then won the doubles title hours later.

Griekspoor got to less credit! He had a crazy run in Dubai 💥🔥

Discussion on the challenges faced by players who bloomed later in their careers.

MinorOtherExtracted from 1 comments

any time you talk to a player who bloomed late, i thank you. have a 10 year old who has had ups and downs, and he struggles when he's not playing well. the new UTR ratings for little kids is insane and brain rotting, and any time there's someone who wasn't a world beater their entire life and then makes a good career for themselves i love to hear it, and share it with my kid. this, in particular, is a great story. he just decided, bored, during the pandemic, to "un suck" and work really hard. inspiring.
