Carlos said he was getting a little fed up of his opponents raising his game against him, and Medvedev did so and more today. A phenomenal win.

Medvedev is pretty damn awesome. He did an interesting interview prior to this match, talking about Alcaraz's skill level being the best in the world while at the same time talking about being on top of his game at the moment. He talked about how strong every aspect of his game is right now during this tournament, his confidence, and that he has a shot at Alcaraz under these circumstances. He sure showed what he has for this match. It's the first time we have seen someone prevail over Alcaraz in this manner. Medvedev......very strong tennis game indeed!

Everyone raises their level when playing against Carlos - No 1 always has the target but Carlos copes with it brilliantly. He is brilliant on court and in life. He is SO loved. ❤❤

Every Alcaraz match ends the same way: with his opponents shaking his hands and laughing in disbelief about what they just witnessed. You can see they not only respect Carlos but see him with admiration too.

Carlos has his opponents smiling after beating them because he‘s just so good. Earning so much admiration from your rivals is really not that common, yet it happens regularly.

This handshake at the end of the match is one main reasons why I love this new generation so much. They foster respect & joy. Exemplary.
