Skip and CY made some pretty good strides this off-season but to not bring in a real closer after seeing how much the team struggled at that spot last year seems like a huge miss. Offense is at least playing smarter this year. Not as much swinging for the fences on every AB

BP's shirt is a 5/5, it's an eye catching pattern Agree with the Reds with Burns who I think remains under the radar for now As a Celtics guy I can tell you Celtics last night vs Charlotte were without Brown and White fwiw, which does mean if they go tonight they're at least rested, although I still lean Hawks there. Tatum is out tonight, and Brown is playing it seems, so the doom and gloom was likely premature. I have MLB MIL -140 Brewers are staying at home while Tampa has to travel, and the Brewers are off of a major scare vs a lousy White Sox team, having to erase a late 7-3 deficit in the 8th inning. I like teams off of a big scare as a favorite to bounce back. I also like the pitching matchup here. Martinez makes his Rays debut and Milwaukee is obviously very familiar with him having seen him plenty in the division when he was on Cincinnati. His career stats vs them are also mediocre (.783 OPS allowed is fairly high, in 90 AB). Meanwhile Milwaukee will have Harrison making his Brewers debut and he might be pumped to pitch for a contender after going through a trade carousel. Tampa is also only 1/15 off of him lifetime so they're not too familiar with him and haven't done well, so I think he has an edge. Brewers have the better bats here and the bullpens with similar rest, based on last year, are also basically a wash. NYY/SEA Under 7.5 -105 Pitcher friendly park, early season, night game, temp around 50 seem to be a good environment for fewer runs, plus the public likely sees these two teams, who have good offenses, and will want to go over, especially with the pitchers not exactly being name pitchers. Both bullpens were off yesterday so they're rested, and I like the starters here. Weathers will make his Yankees debut, and while that could be pressure, I think he's a talented young pitcher who remains under the radar and started improving while on Miami. He also will have the edge of having not been seen before by Mariners bats. Castillo goes for the Mariners, and like all Ms starters, he's typically better at home, he's pretty consistent for them, and his stats vs the Yankees are pretty good in a solid sample (.212 OBA, .681 OPS allowed in 137 AB). I think the pitching outweighs the hitting here. Good luck as always!

I keep a Polymarket account solely for what happened in the Duke game. Once the live odds get high enough I’ll put money on the dog, mostly because a $1-2 bet can cover any loss I’d have in my other $20 bets. Very clean show today. Mark asserted that the comments section would be critical of his embarrassing 0-2 start to the MLB season with the Astros losing outright as a -165 fav and inexplicably backing the Giants to plate 2.5 runs when they have scored one run all season, but no such criticism emerged. BP said his button-down shirt was a 10 out of 10 when it looked as if he stuck his head through a sheet of wallpaper. With over 140 shirts to choose from, he could have selected better.

BP is going to have a huge April, I can feel it. That said I think the elderly nurse who started my IV before my last colonoscopy was also wearing that shirt. She was also good at her job so I so she probably has better fashion sense than I do.
