Maresca and now Liam seem to want to sacrifice their career and the club on the altar of some dogma about playing from the back. PSG showed it takes 7 seconds from a turnover to score, multiple times, not endless tic-a-taka passing at a slow pace. I have to turn away when I see the ball played back to the goalkeeper.

Filip Jörgensen should not have been forced into a big Champions League game given his experience, he's been number 2 for a reason, and only played in B-team games 1 decent game against Villa isn't enough. Rob Sanchez was a giant in the CWC Final for both his saves and distribution. We beat PSG by going long to get in behind them and beat the press. The winning blueprint was there. But we decided to do the opposite and it backfired. Petr Cech himself wouldn't make this team because he wouldn't do Cruyff turns in the 6 yard -- it's madness. Also, taking off Joao Pedro and Palmer when we needed a goal was another big mistake, those are the 2 players mostly likely to get us a goal and are proven big game players. Reece is proper Chels, Not surprised he signed. He understands what it means and what it takes to play for Chelsea Football Club. He has that Chelsea winning mentallity. You can see he carries our knowledge and tradition into this new team -- my Captain. And yes, best in the world in his position.
