Dave RennieとJamie JosephのどちらがAll Blacksのヘッドコーチとして適任か、具体的な比較分析を知りたい
Nothing against Jamie Joseph but I'm firmly in the Dave Rennie camp I think he'd be the best option right now
If we hated the aimless kicking under Razor, we won't survive the kick everything strategy of Joseph as ABs coach
Rennie for me. I don't like how Joseph's Highlanders are kicking everything away.
Dave Rennieの過去のコーチング実績(特にWallabies時代)と、それがAll Blacksにどう影響するかを知りたい
From an outsider looking in, I would be way more concerned at the prospect of playing a Dave Rennie coached All Blacks.
As a Wallaby fan still ashamed and gutted with what we did to Dave Rennie! I sincerely hope he has the best possible career
A very interesting review didn’t realise Dave Rennie had all of those stats
All Blacksの現状の課題(選手の意識、戦術、チーム文化など)と、新コーチがそれをどう改善できるかを知りたい
The problem is Rugby is not their first priority , its just a job for some of the players . Richie Macaw stated once he didnt want a wife or kids or even a serious relationship until his proffessional rugby career was over ... he basically lived and breathed rugby for the All blacks . Didnt take it for granted . The AB jersey dosent seem as sacred nowadays .... sad really 😢😢😢
Great comments on the team at the beginning...truths hurt the players,,well said and needed to be said...that word Ruthless says it all. Agree who were the players in second half against the Boks and England..what do they have to say, Im a bit worried not many of the new players fully understand the Bok AB history of touring there
Excellent content Mr Devlin! I agree 100%, the players need to be called out. The hard questions must be asked of their performance. It's almost like a spoiled kid who lived off the privilege of a rich family and became arrogant and now that there is financial difficulty, they don't know how to bite down and put in hard work. Just like Bane told Bruce Wayne, "Victory has defeated you." After the success of that team that reigned between 2011 and 2015, there was a pivotal moment and NZR got it all wrong. Yes I know, the benefit of hindsight, but I honestly think that Hansen should not have stayed on for the 2019 world cup. The problem is, at that time he walked on water, he could have sold NZR ice if they were stuck on an iceberg in the Antarctica. They decided to continue riding the wave and unfortunately rode it for too long. There is a difference between working hard, intelligently and making sure you get everything in place, to ensure you are the best and walking around, beating your chest, simply thinking you are the best, because you can get caught out if you are not and New Zealand rugby has been caught with their pants down. Unfortunately, rugby is still a physical game, you have to physically dominate your opponent. The great teams, physically dominate first and combine intellect/innovation to play smart rugby. The game between Fiji Drua and the Hurricanes again made me question the ability of New Zealand teams to front up, physically. I think Jordie Barrett had PTSD of that World cup final where Peter Steph Du Toit kept nailing him, as he got hit by a Drua player this past weekend. Whoever the new coach is, will have to work hard at changing the attitude of the players. I can say that I'm bitterly disappointed with the Highlanders' loss to the Reds. I'm not a Highlanders fan, but a part of me bought into what I thought Jamie Joseph is building. I think the loss of Pledger, is what set that team back. You can't depend on Folau Fakatava to lead you to a premiership. A half back, just like the fly half, is very important. From what I've seen in Super Rugby, I believe the number 1 and 2 half backs for the All Blacks, should be Roigard and Hotham.
Dave Rennieがアシスタントコーチやサポートスタッフに誰を選ぶか、その選考基準を知りたい
Jamie joe has plenty of time , still pretty young to coach . Better off doing it with Tony Brown when TB is available ! . I can see Wayne Smith coming out of retirement if Dave Rennie gets it . And get fozzie on board in some role too . Be a good trio 😊😊
I Like Jamie Joseph but without Tony Brown, I'm going with Rennie on this one. I'm not comfortable with the current AB's assistant coaches (ALL OF THEM...They're NOT the BEST Coaches in the world and they need to be...like the players need to be...The BLACK Jersey demands it!) & Jamie seems happy to work with the current crop of assistant coaches whilst I'm hearing Rennie wants a NEW hard nose crew, and I'm all for it!
I think the head coach should definitely be consulted about who they'd like their assistant coaches to be, and their opinion should obviously be taken into consideration by the NZRU. At the end of the day though, it should be up to the NZRU to make the final decision. Obviously it's somewhat of a different situation to an everyday 9 to 5 job, but most people don't have the option of choosing who to work with and, although it would be beneficial to listen to the head coach's advice and who they think they'd work best with, the people above the head coach should have the last say, simply so as to ensure that the best people for the job are being hired and it's not just the Crusaders club or whatever.

I was lucky enough to be coached by Dave at IRANZ in the early 2000's. He was definitely a hard task master then - and he wanted his players to always play what they saw. I remember in one game we turned over the ball and me as the half back got it and just banged it down field eventually rolling out about 5 metres from the opposition line. I thought it was a great kick , but Dave crucified me in the game review because even though the kick had gone 60 metres and ended up giving us good territory - what I hadn't done was look outside me and seen the 3 on 1 opportunity where we could have held onto the ball. That's the kind of coach he is. He'd do a great job if he got given it.
Dave Rennie is a trained teacher, that will speak a lot to his coaching style. As a teacher you always aim to get the best out of your students and recognize, work with those individual strengths to unify a team effort.
I love that quote" we have to be brilliant at the basics" Great coach and we have the team that can win the world cup
All Blacksのコーチ選考プロセスが遅延している理由や、その背景にあるNZRの意図を知りたい
Marty is right , there's to many signs of disarray in the NZR at the moment...for appointment of a coach to take so long after you've fired Razor, I speaking for myself would've thought, NZR have a plan or two in place to appoint a new coach immediately...but it seems like they've done the opposite by firing Razor and then do the process of advertising or looking for suitable coach for NZR... So I agree with Marty to be concerned for what's been seen of lacking of professionalism in NZRU administrators😢 On the other side we've been blessed with Rassie who even went to the World Rugby "All shapes & sizes" conference, to go tell World Rugby 🏉🇿🇦 that the game is in good health and that no changes in rugby is needed 🏉 on the basis of other nations who can't scrum and continue with scrums, as it is "lekker" for us South Africans 🇿🇦🏉 It's just disappointing that our greatest rival got influenced by the Australians to go and try to destroy the debate on scrums to be taken out of our beautiful game...but NZR we always forgive you and we love you and hopefully all these issues in NZR will be finalised so that the great rivalry continue in good faith in the future ❤🇿🇦🏉🏆🏆🏆🏆
7 weeks!?! Makes you wonder if neither Rennie nor JJ wants the job… 2-year contract, disgruntled players, disrupted / shortened preparation window, hectic 2026 schedule, national expectations unrealistically high - who could blame them?
Could the lack of a coach situation be a ploy to cancel the tour of SA to prevent a potential loss of all tests?

Love Daves comment, I have no loyalties, selection will be on form, well said Dave...
Love Dave Rennie! Best of luck mate. (Wallabies fan).
Great to see that Dave Rennie got the AB job, he was poorly treated by the Aus management team which led to our disastrous back to the future experiment with Eddie Jones. Great coach and hope he does well until he faces Aus, a sentiment I am sure he can respect.

Loved how Dave said he hoped to have a beer with "Jake" Joseph! His first presso is more impressive than Razor's was.
No drama, just clarity and strength from Dave. Looking forward to seeing how he will do!
Really good stand up. Dave Rennie came across really solid and dialled in. It’s clear everyone is on the same page here. Really looking forward to moving forward with this group and to see who he brings in as his assistants. Well done to David Kirk and NZR for running a good process despite all the noise and angst.

ABs need to be brutal at the breakdowns, rugby is a game of collisions, and play with width, coz skillset and speed is our point of difference. If that's Rennie great, if it's Jamie Jo great as well, we just need to play Rugby and stop kicking senselessly.
Hopefully...the style the ABs get back to is heads up exciting running rugby. Lethal in broken play. Far less pointless kicking the ball away and chip kicks. 🤞
"See the space from the backfield when exiting then take it, dont ignore it" should see Beauden finally retired. I dont know how many times last year when exiting Beauden ignored 4 on 2 overlaps in the front-field (2 defenders defending up) while the open wing / Fb/ flyhalf and blind wing were in the backfield - and not only kicked to exit but were poor kicks rarely finding grass but into the breadbasket of either the fullback or No10.

I am reasonably happy with it. I only hope he pick his assistants wisely
We were very fortunate to have two great options in Rennie and Joseph. Happy with either. As was the case for me with Robertson the new coach should get two years before we evaluate their tenure - for Rennie this means until the end of the RWC27. Looking forward to seeing how he goes - got a huge mountain with tour to SA.
This will be the toughest gig in World rugby with little lead-in to a huge year for the ABs. I am a little underwhelmed but the opportunity is there to quickly turn the AB fortunes around.
