You could see this happening. It only took a few injuries to cripple the side for Villa to lose any momentum and structure. We've always struggled with nullifying teams. Our reliance on Martinez is too high. Teams get many opportunities against Villa and we're toothless in attack. There should've been consistent investment in the team but the current rules don't allow for this (SCR). Doesn't matter how much money the owners have at their disposal if your business doesn't generate enough funds you cannot be competitive in the market.
