Gold, Black Gold, and Defence stocks should do well tomorrow. Silver too. I don't think they will be insuring the oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz anymore. One already got hit by a drone earlier only 5 miles off the coast of Oman. If they are then the premiums will be too cost prohibitive. I think this Middle East war could last several weeks minimum. I also think oil could jump a lot higher than $77-80, though I could be wrong. It will be interesting to see the differences between WTI and Brent tomorrow.

Agree on the long term bearish picture for oil. Iran, Venezuela...lots of oil coming on-line. Also think about what this means for a potential conflict with China. They need oil - what if the US controls all of the places that normally supply them? Interesting times.

安全な部類ではあるけど、トップに立てないとか稲妻の輝く瞬間を取りこぼすとか ギャンブル感覚で始めたひとには手を出さないであろう特徴もあるんだけど

Too risky to short oil at 75 to 80 if the Straight of Hormuz is blocked thereafter or if a significant escalation occurs. Make money on the upside for those of us with oil equities but be very very careful on shorting though perhaps buying some puts could work with less risk

As always, fantastic summary, Matt. Thank you. When you go through the sectors, I know that classically utilities is defensive, but with the new type of utilities, could that be a little more risk on? I think for example, bloom energy is utilities and I wouldn’t look at that particular stock as defensive. Just curious as per your thoughts.

Not only do we have a head-and-shoulder pattern within the rounded top but we have another one with the left shoulder where you placed the white big arrow. The rounded top would become the head and if it drops to your target zone, then we'd have a new neckline, imho.

SMH hit my target new ATH 430-440 range I had called out 3 weeks ago when it was 370-380 and entire world was bearish calling chips were done - I was bullish back then for bounce past few weeks but now that SMH hit 431 target with NVDA earnings few minutes pop I'm out of longs and waiting for signs of possible reversal - if SMH loses 421 on a shelf backtest rest of week that's a flare up in the air plus watching NQ if can't reclaim 25400 then I'll turn bearish but if SMH bounces off 421 and NQ rips back over 25400 on daily candle close I'll be bullish again

J'ai de + en + de doutes sur l'effet des news sur les cours. On voit souvent des cours qui montent suite à de bad news et des cours qui baissent alors que les chiffres, les news sont bonnes. Il y a de moins en moins d'humains et de + en + robots qui tradent. Les robots ont leurs algos aidés de l'IA, et n'ont que faire des news voire des fondamentaux (avis personnel) ... Bons trades à tous

Ton approche est fort possible vu comment le marché s'est comporté depuis 2 ans, aucunes info graves ou positives n'influencent les indices malgré les guerres qui de toutes façons sont annoncées et connues de tous. Donc ouverture en forte baisse chasse aux Stops et ça remontera au pire le lendemain... Mais il est possible qu'à force de jouer avec l'élastique et le yoyo on le prenne dans la tronche car il y a eu aussi beaucoup de fragilité annoncées et constatées, l'IA, les Logiciels, les 7 magnifiques, les métaux précieux.... oui ça a marché 50 fois mais peut être qu'à la 51 ième ça devrait peut être cette fois péter ?! Ce scénario n'a que trop duré faire peur pour que certains gros achètent mais même les baleines finissent pas couler... mais en effet le BTC finit par rester positif donc ça voudrait dire que le marché ne bougera pas encore une fois ? On verra lundi.
