As far as my job this would be an extra hour of daylight which means an additional job per day and more money....but the thing I wouldn't understand is if I'm traveling to south/north Carolina and up the east coast...I would be going behind back into the eastern time zone if they don't agree to do the same

Wouldn't this be horrible idea if other areas use it still? That would mean going to say north carolina, would use it then the clocks would move around depending on what state you go to, instead of time zone so it could be both being used? Should just be nationwide. I dunno if that made sense it did in my head and hard to describe right now as I go to bed lmao

Dumb idea. Arizona does something similar and it's a pain scheduling meetings with them. This needs to be a national change, period.

This is a new century. We have lights now. There's no reason to be disturbed with changing the clock forwards and backwards twice a year. Common sense

those that don’t think this is important might be misguided. the basic aspects of our reality (space, time, matter, energy) are paramount. these things guide our existence and dictate health and life itself. get them right and we flourish. get them wrong and we suffer. i support being more in tune with the rotation and orbit of our planet.

Why doesn't Congress see the outdated of daylight savings time we don't need it in this 24/7 era. Things are open always pretty much or very late at night 11: 00 to 12:00. Places also open at 5:00 to 6:00. Everyone's always going at all hours of the day whether it be for warehouse work fast food retail everything's always open as it is we don't need the clock disruption anymore. The same amount of daytime exists anyway if Farmers need extra daylight they need to get up an hour earlier.

There are still kids catching the bus in the dark. Even with the current daylight savings. In my county (Cherokee) we have three buses that come through. I noticed the first at around 6:40 am. So the kids are still out there in the dark. I am for this bill. I've always thought it was a stupid idea.

It makes no sense to have DST and sunset at 8:45pm. Nobody needs light at that time of evening. We should be on permanent standard time so the kids have sunlight at the bus stops in the morning. It'll be a b*tch to have sunrise at 5:45 through the summer but we'll get used to it
