No WDR and straight to launch on April Fools Day? Hmm, I'll believe it when I see it. Best of luck to NASA for a successful Artemis II mission in the April launch window, though.

I'll believe it when it happens.

*Mille sabords ! Bonne vidéo à tous :)*

Did I hear correctly, they are worried about doing another rehearsal because it weakens the structure too much.... That is scary

5:00 geez this guy's demeanor made me even more concerned about the safety of the crew... 😢

5

So it was the seal part of the rocket, or part of the quick disconnect?

For the elevator issue, all they need is a smaller auxiliary lift with a carabiner at the end. Astronauts attach it to an anchor on their suit and just get lifted straight up. HLS would have the upmass to build in redundant equipment. They could also bring along a some kind of manually operated cable climber, an astronaut attaches to a free line, and by the use of a ratcheting crank or windlass or some other mechanism can drive themselves back up the line by muscle power alone. Probably one hell of a workout even in 1/6G but it would be a solution totally independent from electrical power and complex machinery.

Thank you again, Ellie!

Have been missing intelligent, honest talks like this one. No hype marketing or stupid Powerpoints pulled out of dark places with cringe promises, just business moving forward. Go Jared!

We're gonna test that "failure of leadership" as Isaacman mentioned. If an incident occurs, we will see where the buck stops. Here's to not having to find out tho.

jared isaacman looks like he can hear sounds

Install two hoists, like the hoist rescue helicopters use. Elevator, two hoists, all independently powered, should make re-boarding possible no matter what.

What about pre-mounting a ladder to the HLS?

Thanks Catherine for putting together a great set of questions and thanks Jared for responding with such enthusiasm! It’s refreshing to see a government agency acting with such determination! Now it’s a matter for the pieces to fall into place. Not so easy to make it a reality as clearly SLS is showing. Nuclear propulsion in space, that’s definitely a major milestone! Looking forward to that becoming a reality as I’m also looking forward to seeing how the lunar station starts being built in 2027!!!

IF U COULD GET TO MARS IT WOULD BE A ONE WAY TICKET

If, in the future, those stationed on Mars do find life, they better do extended study there including human exposure before putting it on a return trip to earth.

They had a meeting so good-enough.

I'll believe it when it happens.

I would lean to NASA vs SpaceX.
