Watching a new season of Scrubs in 2026 is a weird experience. I watched the original series while I was in college! And now I'm in my 40s with a family. It's like going back to high school and I smile for a bit, but don't really know if I want to be back...if that makes sense? Scrubs 2026 is eerily close to the original in terms of writing, pacing, production, and humor. The cast members have all aged well, so they feel like themselves only slightly older. But that's where the 'I'm not sure I want to be back here' feeling kicks in for me. I personally have changed SO MUCH since I was an early 20s 'kid' trying to make my way in this world. And to come back to a series after 15+ years to see all the characters pretty much in the same place doing the same thing with the exact same humor...it made me feel kind of sad in a way. The only true passing of the torch is from Cox to JD. All the other characters have remained in place, even if they are 'senior' doctors now. Mind you, I smiled a lot and chuckled a few times, so I'm not trying to totally trash the show. I don't even know how a new viewer will process Scrubs 2026 without the nostalgia. I think it is a great comedy, and the acting and writing is top notch as it always was. And it was like getting a big warm hug as you enter your old high school (from the exact same teachers and students that were there when you left 25 years ago). As an old die-hard fan of the original run, I didn't realize how much it would break my 'immersion' seeing all of the characters act exactly the same as they did decades ago. I don't know a single person in my life that acts the same as they did while we were in college. We all have similar personality traits that linger, but we're mostly changed people. I think that's why Turk's emotional break at the end of EP1 was so powerful, because that was very different for Turk, but also for any of the characters of the series. I do suggest the show, it's worth watching. Just venting how the show affected my 'feels'. (I don't like that JD and Elliot divorced, broken relationships seem to dominate modern writing, and I don't know why)

The ending scene of season 8 of scrubs was so beautiful. should have kept them married. I guess they need another will they won't they....

I hope Dr Cox still has apart in the series. Even as a board member who has to check in on random episodes.

Hopefully Dr Cox remains in the show. His interaction with JD was a strong component of the original show.

First episode was SO RUSHED. They should have made it 10 mins longer at least. I mean JD coming back, finding out him and Elliot are divorced, Cox being nice AND THEN LEAVING and JD becomes chief, and Turk has a burnout in 22 mins? God no, I'm so happy it's back but that was insane.

I watched both episodes yesterday. And im very happy they returned. I noticed they handle the "modern" situation very well and i can see myself again in these great actors. And they're still fun!

Just watched the first 2 episodes last night and this scene stood out and reminded me why I originally loved this show.

It's not a reboot if it continues the story, a reboot completely resets and starts over at the beginning to tell a different version

So far it's terrible. With some funny here and there mostly when it's the old cast together. They neutered the todd and doctor Cox. Just to give to time to the feelings police so freaking stupid and Dr Park who is leagues worse than the todd ever thought of being.

They talked about JD and Elliot's kids, does that mean we will also get to see Sam Dorian at some point in time too?

I was a little disappointed when JD and Elliot divorced
