Illumination infuriates me lmao they make really great looking animation, but aside from the first 2 despicable me movies, ALL of their films have no depth, plot or soul at all and people are still giving them literal BILLION dollar box office performances

I feel like the Galaxy games have a very specific kind of personal, quiet yet powerful magic that a bloated Illumination-style movie with Hollywood quipping and one-liners just can’t capture.
