Cheerleading, soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball, and many more have all been successful during Mitch’s time as AD so give him more credit for the job he’s done.

We need a young,energetic guy that understands where the Nil is going and can get people talking like a powerhouse again. I think we have lost a little of that. It was king of bad timing that NIL came along at the end of Barnhart's tenture, probably struggled to get ready for it in my opinion so it outsourced to JMI.

It doesn’t matter who UK hires, the damage Mitch has done the past few years is going to be hard to undo. The JMI deal is the worst thing is college athletics! He gave JMI complete control of athletes’ NIL rights which is INSANE and the reason why 5⭐️ athletes are not even considering Kentucky. No other school has anything close to this type of agreement! Please…whoever we hire. Please. Get us back to prominence in basketball. 2 nattys in 24 years is not good shooting. UConn has won 6 Nattys since 99’. With alleo respect to our other sports, basketball needs to be king. And football a very close 2nd! They are the money drivers anyhow!

Say what you will, our athletic department valuation is ranked 15th in America by CNBC. Yes, 9th in the SEC but for a state our size we're punching well above our weight especially considering every other top 20 athletics program is football-first. The next basketball school is Duke at 33rd. Carolina is 35th, Louisville 37th & Kansas 39th. Mitch has done a good job over 24 years. There have been some bad hires along the way but some good ones too & he's definitely upgraded our olympic sports programs tremendously. It has been a good run, but yes, it's time for new blood - or as Cal said, a new voice (and leadership).

The average length of tenure for a division 1 college AD is 6.83 years. So yeah, stayed too long at the party. That’s how the bad things start to get in balance with the successes.

This exclusive NIL deal he cut was a terrible move. Exactly why UK if getting zero name recruits for next season...then there was the lifetime Cal contract, the huge buyout for Stoops, Gillespie, Joker...

The advantage of alcohol sales much overblown. For these season ticket holders, it was a move in the wrong direction. So annoying having beer drinkers interrupting our view of the games plays for them to come and go carrying back hands full of beer containers.
