Signing Walker would be huge. But also very expensive. I saw a comment about him being injured often. In his four years, he's played 15 games, 15 games, 12 games and 17 games. For a running back, I don't think that's really bad. The position is a grinder. I'd still say go after him...but I'd still lean towards signing Allgeier at half the price tag. As for ILBs, I would sign Nakobe Dean WAY before Elliss or Singleton.

Here is the thing. There are like 10+ plays this season I don't know how many other Rbs make the play k9 did. I legit don't know if you can say we win a SB without him. That said you need to pay everybody and rb is he position that carries the most risk with the least reward to pay for. I love k9 I wish it was different but I have come to peace that we aren't resigning him. Mostly to do with the fact this is his only healthy season tbh and that's because he was barely blocking or red zoning until the playoffs.

I love the way the hawks are handling this. If he gets an offer of 12 million or higher, then take it, if not, then let's work out a deal for about ten million.

I like Walker but not at 15 Million long term. Maybe a 2 year 28, or 3 years for 40 and a team option on the last year.

With the cap increasing $20+ million every year😮, I can’t see how saving $2-5M over the next 3 years helps this team get better. Walker improved dramatically in the Shanny/Kubiak offense toward the end of the year compared to the rest of his career. SEA does not win either of the Rams game (& SB by extension) without K9, if Charbs, Allgeier, McIntosh, Holani, Montgomery are the replacements. The drive to ice them game was incredibly clutch. 13 yard reception on their own goal line would have been a 1 yard gain for every other back on that list. How many times did K9 turn the ball over this year? If they let him walk over paying $11MM instead of $13MM, I think it’s a huge mistake, and getting “too cute”. Keep them together. K9 isn’t a selfish player and is good friends with Charbs. Selflessness is a “force multiplier” quality. If Montgomery is unhappy in DET why would he be happy here? (End rant)

I would not be giving up any picks for Montgomery when we are only holding 4 to begin with. Even though he's rehabbing Knee Charbs is essentially a bigger younger version of Monty. I would like to get Etienne to keep some homerun speed in the backfield he is also a good pass catching back

Mike Washington Jr or Jadarian Price in the 2nd or 3rd round would make losing Walker feel okay

Let him shop around is a fair deal, if no one wants to pay more than what John say he can pay him, then stay. Give him a chance to get paid more.

RBs shouldn't allowed to be franchise tagged😢

The franchise tag is bad business. You may sacrifice an entitlement but if you treat players right your roster will end up better in the long run.

If a player gets injured while on the tag, their career is essentially over. Franchise Tags are basically a finger from the FO to the player, “I only want you one more year, no one else can have you, oh and you have to prove that you deserve to be here”. Especially on a position as injury heavy as RB. Them not slapping the tag on K9 shows that they respect him enough to let him test the market and get the money/multi year deal he deserves. Seattle has a lot of young talent to lock up and unfortunately K9 plays an expendable position.
