Texan here. In Collin County Texas, a red county bordering Dallas we shouldn’t forget Paxton was Federally charged in 2015 with securities fraud. In 2025 Paxton agreed to restitution, community service, etc. The man has the ethics of a snake.

Imagine spending nearly a half billion to get someone like Paxton not elected. That would be awesome.

We've always thought that money was the mother's milk of politics. That may be changing because voters are beginning to consume news differently - mostly online from self selected sites - than they have in the past. Right now we just have a few isolated data points in the direction of that hypothesis. A candidate needs some money to hire staff and so forth but this trend of rapidly diminishing returns is becoming obvious.

The fact that Texas Republicans have Paxton #1 screams volumes about the state of Republicans.

Like Trump, Paxton is a curse on the Republican party.

As a Texan, it will be a very sad day if Paxton wins anything.

It's still Texas, so I won't get my hopes up for a Democratic victory. Though obviously Tallarico v Paxton would be about as good (on paper) of a matchup that Democrats could hope for.

I absolutely HATE that Crockett and Talarico are running against each other. I get why but they are both superstars and we need them both in HIGH levels of power.

I used to be a republican. I’ll vote for either Crockett or Talarico. I just haven’t decided.
