Detailed contract analysis and implications for Daniel Jones' future performance and team strategy.
If the report of Daniel Jones asking for $50 mil a year as a counter to 33 mil a year is true… then yes.
As a colts fan not sold on Danny sry, I hate when QBs have one great year and get a bag thrown to them to be mediocre at best, don’t make that mistake colts but the way they’ve been moving they’re going to pay him, smh
50 the DJ is crazy work
Comparison between Daniel Jones and other potential quarterbacks (e.g., Kyler Murray, Anthony Richardson, Riley Leonard) regarding their fit, performance, and contract value.
GTA is coming out next season. U don’t want Kyler Murray with a game of that magnitude coming out
Danny dimes gave me the best 10 weeks of my life in a long time last season. But, the smart move would be to bring in Kyler who is basically free for a year rather than break the bank for jones coming off the injury who probably won’t be ready for week 1..
Send Daniel Jones BACK to Minnesota & Colts sign Kyler Murray 💯 MAKES SENSE!!!
Clarification on the specific terms and financial details of Daniel Jones' contract extensions, including guaranteed money and incentives.
This was actually a more salary cap friendly deal than the $37M transition tag because only $14M will count against the salary cap this year which is very reasonable for a starting QB. Also only $10M is guaranteed after 2026.
With the way they structured the contract the Cap hit for Jones contract next season is only $14.6 million....$48 million the second yr which the Colts will extend if next yr works out...Plus Jones contract is spread out over the next 5 yrs with the way the NFL bargaining agreement goes so even if he hits all the incentives which he most likely wont, Irsay-Gordon only out $20 million a yr for the next 5 yrs avg....Most likely, less...
The Colts are paying 2 years of elite QB money for 1 1/2 years AT MAXIMUM of Daniel Jones considering the injury. Not to mention, he may not be the same for a few years after that injury. Not sure about this one.
Discussion on Daniel Jones' injury history and its potential impact on his future performance and the Colts' decision-making.
Good luck with your QB with no legs😂 I like DJ , but a broken leg and torn Achilles at the same time is insane.
That man tore his Achilles and you throw him 50 mil a year??? Lmfaooooooo
The Colts franchise has become the Jets. Recovering from a torn achilles and a broken leg. Geez
Understanding the strategic rationale behind the Colts' contract decisions for Daniel Jones, considering team needs and available alternatives.
I’m so sick of the colts QB decision making
You changed your tune pretty quickly! Thanks for explaining. I didn't understand why Ballard would pay $50m when he could have just paid $37m. Now we all do. Go IU!
yea colts fan and he did amazing ngl but after just one year like that ended with a horrible injury the 37 is bout what id offer lol idk tho..we need a qb tho
Discussion on the perceived value and contract demands of Daniel Jones, with many viewers questioning if he is 'worth' the money.
40M per year is too much for Jones. I want whatever him and his agent are smoking.
That man tore his Achilles and you throw him 50 mil a year??? Lmfaooooooo
Wow, that's insane money!!!! DJ ain't worth that
Exploration of the relationship dynamics and 'frenemy' aspect between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier.
They passive aggressively love each other
In a different life they could have been great friends
They secretly love each other, we just cant prove it 😂
Analysis of Daniel Jones' performance metrics and 'what-ifs' related to his career trajectory, especially before and after injuries.
I think Jones reneged on his deal with the Vikes and left them in the lurch, after they helped rehabilitate him. Now he is playing hard ball with the Colts who gave him a chance, and stuck by him. I'm starting to think that he is difficult to deal with. His play was cratering last season before he was injured too. Johnathon Taylor had to break records to save his butt in Germany vs the Falcons. An Achilles is no bargain. I think the Colts would do well to exercise some caution.
One of the biggest what ifs What if daniel jones didnt tear his achilles
Jones played great last year, I'll admit I was wrong on his play BUT he got hurt AGAIN people talk about AR being injury prone but look at Jones he has 1 healthy season in his whole career....ya Richardson has had some but majority of them were not season ending, a concussion, and a couple games he was pulled for something minor at the end of the game so I don't count those, the shoulder was bad and the eye was a bad freak accident.... The pinky in preseason wouldn't have held him out of a game if he was the starter.... We knew he was a project so why not finish that project and let him grow.... At least keep him and let him start until Jones is 100% and show the league his growth and get a actual good trade if your dead set on letting him go.....
Analysis of other NFL player movements and contract situations mentioned in conjunction with Daniel Jones' news (e.g., Maxx Crosby, Trey Hendrickson, Kyler Murray).
Decosta said they didnt have enough money to sign Linderbaum. How are we supposed to believe they planned to sign Hendrickson along with bringing in Crosby? 🤦🏻♂️
No way the plan was to have both Crosby and Hendrickson. Hendrickson's market value was down and the Ravens thought it was better to grab him and keep their draft picks. The Insiders are self deluded in this case.
A little late to the party hear but just heard that the ravens took back the deal on Crosby. Now that being said, does this hurt what the raiders are asking for him? Can we say trade Anthony Richardson and our 2028 first round pick or 2027 second you think for Maxx?
Understanding the Colts' overall team strategy and future outlook given their quarterback situation and recent signings.
The colts really didnt have a lot of options. But whatever, we all know how the season is going to go, nothing to really be excited about
Kicking the can down the road for the next GM to solve.
Colts did a great job of making sure they have the QB that will get them back to 9-8 and missing the playoffs. Looking forward to the day when Ballard is fired. I'm going to have a huge party to celebrate. Then there will be the 2 year rebuild. So, at this point, I think we're looking at 2029 before the Colts are even sniffing relevance.
