The perfect laptop for folks who do basic things like surf the web, write word documents, and consume media... with full MacOS to boot. I dig it.

A high school student that follows MKBHD and other tech YouTubers and can’t afford expensive laptops, and has an iPhone 15 that was given by the parents. This *is* probably the computer for that student.

As you said, this model is not for me, but boy am I pissed with the fact that it got the cool colors!!! I wish I could have my Air in yellow or pink, ugh.

Charging $100 for the touch ID but hiding it behind the storage upgrade is a very Apple move.

You forgot to mention the trackpad is not haptic on the Neo, it's a regular mechanical trackpad, so no force touch or satisfying haptic feedback

No force touch trackpad, damn. I thought we were over them.

There is no backlight in the keyboard, no auto-brightness in the screen, and no force touch in the trackpad. Instead, it has a simple mechanical button, similar to a regular multi-touch pad like the Windows Book.

for the student discount 499 dollars, this might be the best build quality and best single core score, highest res panel, best battery life at this price. im interested to see the sales after some time.

Was ich genial daran finde, dass Apple den A18 Pro benutzt ist, dass das Ding Singlecore technisch auf Höhe mit einem m3 ist und multicore mit einem m1, also für alltagsaufgaben extrem schnell wegen den straken Kernen und auch für Multitasking auch völlig ausreichend. Gleichzeitig wird das Ding nochmal effizienter im Grundbetrieb laufen, weshalb, das neo eine exorbitante Akkulaufzeit haben sollte)
