Barrister writing here... Starmer and his friends are pretending a liability and obligation which does not exist in law; their dishonesty and hypocrisy is shocking, but not longer surprising. The chance of our current monarch withholding royal assent is negligible, he hasn't the strength of character or moral compass to do so. Perhaps the best chance of stopping this betrayal is for the opposition parties as a whole to promise legislation that will hold the traitors behind it to account - the cowardice of our Prime Minister and his Labour Government should not be underestimated... 👍

Nigel Führage promised us Brexit would make us all better off.... The most recent independent study from the US shows that Farage's Brexit has wiped between 8% and 10% off our GDP. Anybody that trusted him in 2016 was gullible, naive and easily led.. Anybody that's prepared to trust him again is just plain thick.

Being saying this for a while. These islands are part of the British empire. Starmer cannot break it up and sell/give it away. The sooner this government is gone the better off Britain will be.

Why does not he make any reference to the forceful removal of the inhabitants the Chagos ?

The UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (in December 2025) even called on the UK to suspend the deal because it violates the Chagossians' right to self-determination! Yet Starmer is STILL determined to give £35bn away, so he can line the pockets of his mate, <redacted so I don't get sued>, and perhaps himself also.
