Now we have a MacBook with an iPhone processor that runs macOS but we still have the ipad with a macbook processor that cannot run macos 😅

The perfect laptop for folks who do basic things like surf the web, write word documents, and consume media... with full MacOS to boot. I dig it.

A high school student that follows MKBHD and other tech YouTubers and can’t afford expensive laptops, and has an iPhone 15 that was given by the parents. This *is* probably the computer for that student.

Whenever a great product like this comes out, I wish I had nieces or nephews who were in school so I could buy one for them. Because I can't make use of these, being a professional, I need something more powerful. But man, I would've LOVED to have one of these as a kid.

But 8GB RAM... Not what I'd call future proof. Haven't had a notbook with that little RAM since 2012.

Seems great but 8GB (which needs to also be shared with the GPU) as the only option is rough. Like Electron "Apps" exists.

The lowest cost MBA M2 on Apple Refurb store is currently $679, but it's not the base model, it has 16GB ram. So why would I get the Neo but not the official refurbished M2 with 16GB?

You forgot to mention the trackpad is not haptic on the Neo, it's a regular mechanical trackpad, so no force touch or satisfying haptic feedback

Adding the Touch ID increases the price by £100/$100 as it only comes with 512GB storage. Shame you can't increase the RAM to 16GB. P.S. It is the MacBook Neo and not Neom (3:46).

Would be nice as a secondary laptop for traveling, small and not too precious to lose. Though i doubt it can handle big photoshop files.
