I don't thimk we have fully comprehended how great Pickford's saave is, as a goalkeeper myself I couldn't belive my eyes. Reaction time nothing short of .3 seconds and saving a shot with that much pace and power with your weaker hand is absolutely incredible.

I believe we have not entirely grasped just how amazing Pickford's save is. As someone who plays goalkeeper, I was astonished. His reaction time was barely .3 seconds, and saving such a fast and powerful shot using his weaker hand is truly remarkable.

I was 100% on Gordon’s side in his spat with Trippier. But now, I’m not so sure anymore - especially because of two situations. 9:08 - watching him start dribbling recklessly in the middle of our own half just after we’d made it 2-2 signalled, to me, a player more interested in showcasing himself than doing what’s best for the team. And when we went 2-0 up at home to Qarabag after five minutes and the TV cameras zoomed in on him, you could almost see his Champions League top scorer dream fading in his eyes as he sat on the bench. No visible joy over the team’s flying start. Compare that to players like Bruno, Burn and Murphy - when they score, you can see what it means to them in terms of the club and the fans. Gordon’s celebrations always feel more restrained, more self-focused. Today I can barely stand rewatching him run to the corner flag, first holding up three fingers, then four, arms stretched out like it was nothing - as if the message was aimed more at Tuchel, than at anyone else. I just don’t think he has that Newcastle DNA in him - that team-first mentality above all else. That said, for the sake of his resale value, I hope he has a strong World Cup. If we can get £60m or more for him afterwards, and under the new SCR system that ends up being the one necessary sale that allows us to strengthen elsewhere this summer, then so be it.
